Solutions and Service
For a long time, our company has provided hydraulic wrenches and other bolting equipment for a wide variety of jobs. Applications ranging across several industries have had Torq/Lite products on them for years, but what you may not know about Torq/Lite may be exactly what you need.
The products that we sell are easily accessible on our Web site, YouTube channel, Facebook page, and Twitter profile. You can dial in on what tool you think you might need, and you can readily find the right person to contact to get information or a quote.
But that isn't all we're about.
There is a lot that goes into bolting, and making sure you have the right tool for your job is very important to us. Often, there is more than one job you have to do. Sometimes, these jobs can be spread out to a few times per year.
We understand that in situations like these, renting tools may be a better option, and that is why we keep a substantial inventory of equipment at all of our locations. Hydraulic wrenches ranging from 1,000 to 60,000 ft./lbs., as well as offshore bolting tools, tensioners, multipliers, sockets, and power units are all kept in good, working condition and calibrations kept up-to-date for when you call for them.
That gives you the choice to tailor bolting packages together the way you need them, and to buy or rent them on a case-by-case basis. You have the ability to choose whichever scenario is more convenient for you.
Customer satisfaction is our goal, and that's what we are hoping to provide along with our tools. We're not just going to ship you tools and leave you standing there, either.
We have technicians with expertise. If you need consultation on your application, we can provide analysis and find the right solution for you. If you need someone to provide training on how to safely operate the equipment, we have people who can do that. You can even rent our technicians to do the job for you.
We also offer custom tooling for uncommon applications. If you can't find a tool to fit, we can design one for you.
From the time you decide you need a tool to turn a nut, until the time that nut is properly tightened, we will be with you every step of the way. You tell us what you need, and we'll provide it. Solutions and service.
If you have an application that you think might be unique, please email info@torqlite.com and request one of our application forms. If you want training on our tools, please contact our Houston office at 713-983-7171 and we will get you in touch with the right person.
Hopefully, you're already getting all you need out of Torq/Lite tools and employees. If you haven't given us a try yet for your bolting needs, we're confident we can provide anything you might need.
We'd like to prove that.

The Importance of Safety
It is something that rises to the surface in most conversations in our line of work. Something that should not and can not be overlooked, or even back-burnered. There are several factors to consider when looking for tools, but none more important than safety.
We have incorporated several elements into our tools that idealize the importance of safely completing an operation. When you use a Torq/Lite wrench, you can be assured that someone has drawn an idea, manufactured a product in the U.S.A., and held and tested that product with the critical eye of protecting operators from injury.
The first thing we did was design our wrenches to be lighter. This made them easier to handle and operate, decreasing operator fatigue.
The next thing we did was add a hole to attach an optional handle to the tool so that you can safely maneuver it. From the time you take it out of the box to the time you put it back in, you have complete control. You can handle and move the tool, and even have a safe place to grip it during operation.
We can show you how to avoid pinch points where the tool is reacting. Of course, the handle eliminates any need for your hand to be anywhere near potentially dangerous areas, but the unibody design on our XL tools helps prevent pinch points, as well. The fewer the reaction points, the fewer the areas of risk.
Our IU-XL wrenches also come with a secure retaining pin. Locked into place with a spring, the pin holds the IU-XL heads to body, so you can be certain the tool is going to stay jointed and get your job done.
Our SU-XL wrenches have a similar feature when attaching the socket to the square drive.
Torq/Lite tools also have patented 360ยบ dual-plane swivels, making the hoses versatile during operation, even when they have pressure in them. You can maneuver the hoses into any position you need them to be in, which is extremely convenient, but this also helps prevent the pinching of your lines and unnecessary pressure on the quick-connect. This reduces the chance of leaking and/or spray from the connection, providing even more safety (and less hassle) to your work.
In addition to these features, Torq/Lite will also train anyone who may be operating the tools to do so safely and avoid any potential for injury. Knowledge is your best friend when it comes to preventing accidents, and our reps can show you the ideal way to get the job done not only safely, but accurately, and quickly.
Our goal is to provide you with safe, quality products and the best possible customer satisfaction. Whether it be through features we incorporated into our designs or through training from one of our PROS, we want you to feel like you have a great tool in your hands.
To keep your connections tight, you have to keep your operation tight. Our tools and our people can help remove any potential danger from your application, and can get you where you need to be quickly, accurately, and most importantly, safely.
To take a closer look at our tools, please visit our Web site here, and to get in touch with one of our PROS, you can call our sales office at 713-983-7171. We look forward to hearing from you.

Hands-on Torq/Lite Training
Face-to-face meetings are so advantageous. Big fan.
Any opportunity to speak with employees and partners from other countries is appreciable, but when you can get in the same room, everything just seems more efficient. Not the first time that word has been thrown around the environs of the workplace, I'm sure.
With diagramming, white-boarding, and a little help from Google translate, Torq/Lite hosted a very successful training this week at the Houston, TX location. The representatives from Brazil and other South American countries, already having a firm grasp of the Torq/Lite products, were able to tap into an even deeper reserve of knowledge, courtesy of employees in the Operations department.
They can now take this knowledge back to their territories and spread it to people who use these wrenches everyday, making the work they're doing safer and more - yep - efficient. It will also help the current users to maintain and prolong the life of their tools, saving them money. Which I also understand is important to businesses.
There is so much to be gained when you can get in the same room and demonstrate. Face-to-face. Minimize any potential for confusion.
Our goal is to equip you, whether it be with tools or with knowledge. In order to pursue that goal of making sure customers are properly supplied, taking any opportunities to invest in our representatives is impactful.
The more they know, the more our customers know.
Meeting in person, you can show, teach, and explain, but you can also high-five, laugh, and build relationships. You can invest.
As this week's training comes to a close, I'm happy to say that these aren't just words. People are leaving with a greater understanding of our products, and the people they talk to will see their knowledge grow, as well.
We were able to teach. We were able to high-five.
I know without a doubt because I saw it. I was there.
Face-to-face.

Be More Efficient in 2016
Let's keep it simple.
How does a process become more efficient? Better work. Less time. More profit.
You can't just have more work, it has to be good work. It has to get the job done the right way.
That good work needs to maximize the time. In an ideal situation, it would take less time to do better work. The better the work and the less time it takes, the more efficient the process is.
Let's be realistic; I know humans aren't machines.
But machines are machines.
The Torq/Lite Robo-Spider is the world's first automated torquing system - a machine that is programmed to make up (or break out) an entire riser flange at once at the push of a button.
It does better than good work. Registering accuracies of +/- 3% on the bolt load, and doing all bolts at once, the Robo-Spider makes riser connections as strong as they were designed to be.
It does that better work faster, taking the place of the manually-operated wrenches that do one bolt at a time. The Robo-Spider can be through with an entire flange in the time it takes to make up (or break out) one bolt.
Another feature to maximize efficiency is the lifting fork. Some riser flanges have bolt storage, and that rigorous step means having to stop, lift, and turn the bolt into storage when breaking out. The lifting fork does this process for you, saving you time and energy.
On top of the better work in less time, the Robo-Spider also offers a much safer setting by completely removing the human operators from the process. The automation allows for your employees to stay clear of the flange and avoid back-breaking work.
That's pretty efficient.
Let's also add that all of this will save money in daily operating costs by minimizing down time. That's a hat trick.
It's accurate. It's fast. And it's safe.
That's as simple as it gets.

Case Study: Sevan Louisiana Robo-Spider
Torq/Lite has completed a new case study outlining the first installation and very successful trial of the Robo-Spider in the field.
In June 2014, the Robo-Spider made its way to the Sevan Louisiana in the Gulf of Mexico. There for a year, it performed as expected and without issues. The data provided by the control panel provided opportunities to make the running and pulling of riser a more efficient process.
The crew shared their thoughts with some testimonials.
Back from action, the same Robo-Spider that was on the Sevan Louisiana is currently set up for viewing and demo at Torq/Lite's Houston location. Demo appointments can be made by emailing info@torqlite.com, or by calling (713) 983-7171.
The full case study can be read here.
